Nunavut deposits

The rules

• A security deposit can be at most one month's rent, and can be split half up front and half later.
• Interest is credited every year at a Bank of Canada deposit rate in effect January 1. Nunavut doesn't publish a rate table online, so ask the Rental Office for the rate.
• The landlord must return it within 10 days after the tenant moves out.
